Homemade Fabric Softener

Did you know you can make your own fabric softener??? My daughter uses this recipe all the time now and says it really works. So I'm sharing. Pretty easy! And cost effective!

7 cups water
6 cups distilled white vinegar
1 cup baking soda

Use a large plastic container. She mixes it in a bucket.

1. Put all the baking soda into your container and add 1 cup water. You do not have to stir. The next step will do that for you.

2. SLOWLY add all 6 cups of vinegar. There will be a chemical reaction and the mixture will fizz. (This is why you need a large container.) Let it fizz for a bit to help dissolve the baking soda.

3. Add the 6 more cups of water to the mixture. Now you can stir to make sure it is mixed.

4. Put into a container to store, could even be your old fabric softener bottle.

5. Add 1 cup to the final rinse just as you would any store bought softener.

Just so you know, I also found this on the internet in several places.
